Great atmosphere and food and really nice gift shop. Didn't have time to do the tour, Will be back.
I recommend going here! For a clueless European this was yet another eye opener to the great distances of Australia, and the life in the outback. I found the hologram to be a bit weird and pretentious, but educational non the less. The exhibition is nice and the shop also.
This is one of the hidden treasures of Alice Springs. There is outdoor and I door seating and the menus is great. Good drinks both hot and cold and the serving sizes are LARGE. Prices and medium to low. Just really good value all round and a great historical society to support. Thank you Royal flying doctor
So informative and the holographic presentation about the history of the service is very impressive. Staff are very welcoming and passionate about what they represent. Very enjoyable visit - totally recommended!
I liked this, but maybe I'm easily pleased. They do a great service and should be supported. The video of the founder was a bit cringe-worthy, but I'm self-deprecating English, so what the heck. Quite honestly, the shop takes up too much space, a bit OTT, and Mr RFDS; wasn't there a (kids) TV series about you in the late 1950s on UK BBC TV? A few B&W clips would add extra historic interest.
